Jeffrey Place is applying for platinum certification under the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Neighborhood Development Rating System.
The LEED Neighborhood Development Rating System starts with five benchmarks of human and environmental health, including sustainable site development, water and energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality; then builds on those principles to rate the sustainability of the entire neighborhood.
Jeffrey Place is the only development in Central Ohio chosen by the USGBC to participate in its LEED Neighborhood Development Rating System pilot program. The North Block’s lofts and townhomes meet, or exceed, LEED Neighborhood Development standards for reducing negative environmental impacts of buildings, improving occupant health and well-being, and sustainable site development.
The LEED Neighborhood Development Rating System uses 60 criteria, including neighborhood walkability, brownfield redevelopment, and modular construction and technology when rating developments. The North Block lofts and townhomes include all of these benchmarks of environmentally conscious design. To learn more visit our FAQ page.
